About

A few notes on Kinky Cat Designs:

The up and coming latex clothing brand was founded in 2010 by Kimberley Crawford. The collections range from fetish to high fashion to costume design, depending on what the customer prefers. Everything is handmade with care and attention to detail. The brand strives to create new clothing regularly, and is constantly evolving to appeal to a larger audience.

In the designs being created at present, lace, chiffon, feathers, and pretty much anything else I think will look good, are being included. My goal for KCD is to help bring latex into "normal" fashion wardrobes and not just in fetishistas closets.

A few notes about me:

My name is Kimberley, and I began Kinky Cat Designs in 2010 when I ordered a latex skirt online and was disappointed with my purchase. I never went to school for design, and my only experience before starting KCD was altering and creating clothing for myself. I am completely self taught in latex and fashion design, but I look at this as an advantage because I have not been taught the “right and wrong” of fashion design. (I am in NO WAY trying to offend other designers who have had training, or say that I am better than said designers!)

I love trying new things, so I always have too many ideas to keep up with. I personally love simple designs, but sometimes in the process of making something simple I end up making something completely different and much for detailed and extravagant than originally planned. Custom works are great, too, in that I enjoy having some guidelines to work by and watching a design go from my sketchbook to a special someone who chose me to design and make something for a special occasion.

You can find my shop here.

I love a good challenge, so if you get inspired by something you see in my shop but want to put your own twist on it, or have an idea that is all your own for an item, I'd love to hear from you!

Collaborations:

I am doing very few collaborations at this time. My TF work is limited to projects that will help further my career or that I think will be amazing (such as photo shoots with my favourite models or for publication). If you feel that you may be able to woo me with your awesome idea or contribute to my success, feel free to send me a private message. If I do not respond, please do not be offended, I have a very crazy schedule.

Travel:

I LOVE to travel, and enjoy planning trips regularly. If you'd like to use my designs for a project, maybe we arrange it for my next trip. (If I can get enough interest for a specific location, I will definitely be interested in taking a trip.)

I regularly spend time in Newfoundland and Vancouver, but with enough interest, I am willing to fly out of country or even overseas. Feel free to send me a message if you are interested.

Loan Agreement:

Please let it be known that I will no longer be loaning out clothing for free. If you would like to borrow a piece from the Kinky Cat Designs closet, I will now require the following:

1: A signed contract.
2: A minimum of 3 high resolution professional photos from the shoot (front, back, side)
3: A damage deposit/rental fee. (Charges depend solely on item(s) you wish to borrow. Fees are partially refunded upon return in same condition.)
4: Item(s) must be washed before being returned, as well as being returned in same condition as was received.
5: Item(s) must be worn properly.
6: Kinky Cat Designs must be credited wherever images are used.
7: I will cover the cost of standard shipping from me to you. Any extra charges must be covered by you. Return shipping must also be covered by you in full.

**If we have already arranged a collaboration, the above does not pertain to you. If I contact you for a collaboration, I do not expect you to pay me for use of my clothing.**
