Where I've Been Hiding

Lately I feel like I've been terrible at keeping up with all of the emails, Facebook posts, Twitter, etc. If you feel as though you are being neglected, I am very sorry. Something happened in my personal life that has slowed me down for the last couple of weeks, and now I am trying desperately to catch up on all of the orders and collaborations I've been working on.

It's not that I've forgotten about all of you or that I'm just slacking off, I've just been insanely busy with the manufacturing side of my business and haven't had time for the socializing side so much. So please do not be offended if I take a day or two, or maybe even longer, to get back to you if you email me.

To keep your curiosity satiated, here's some stuff to watch for this summer:
 - I will be shooting a cohesive look book sometime in the next month of so. Photos will be uploaded as soon as they are ready to go, on here, and on my Facebook page.
 - I'm debuting a new (mini)clothing line later in the summer (no date as of yet) that will be the teaser to what's in store for my show at Boston Fashion Week. What I will tell you about this is that it will be under my own name, Kimberley Crawford, as a branch of the Kinky Cat company.
 - There will be kinky things in the future... I'm not going to reveal much here, but all of you kinksters out there will really like the new items I've got in store to debut in a couple of months. ;)

You will be seeing 2 very different sides of my style this summer, to say the least. Stay tuned!

Your Opinion?

Hey everyone!

So I've been brainstorming, and I have a million ideas (not really, but way too many to do all of them at once) for what I'd like to do in the next year. One of those things involves the collection that I will be showing in Boston Fashion Week in September. The new collection will be different from what I've created in the past - it will not be made completely of latex, nor will it be styled in the fetish style.

What I'd like to know from my fans is whether you are interested in buying clothing from Kinky Cat Designs that is not made completely from latex. I am struggling with the decision to make these new designs available in my existing shop or to open a new shop for the new style. This new style will essentially be a new brand, but it will also include latex, just not the kinkier versions.

I can't be any more specific in what these designs will be, as they won't be debuted until the end of September, but I would like feedback from anyone willing to give it on if I should keep the two styles separate or if they should be sold side by side in the same store.

Thanks guys!

Kimberley

A New Look

Hey everyone!

I will be updating the look of not only this blog (it's already begun), but also my Etsy shop. It's time for a new look to celebrate the new collection I will be unveiling in Boston for the Emerging Trends show in September. I've added labels to the side bar already to help you find the content you'd like, a direct link to my shop in the top bar, and I will be changing my banner soon as well to suit the new look of Kinky Cat Designs.

Also, some changes will be happening in my shop over the next month and a half. Some things are going to be discontinued, as I don't particularly like them anymore or they are not big sellers. Other things will be added, though, not to worry. Some prices will be changing as well. I'd like to give my customers some warning before this happens, but prices will be going up on some things. I can't say which yet, as I'm still working out the details, but I can tell you that about half of my shop will be going up a bit in price (possibly only a very little bit). I regret having to do this, but to realistically design and make clothing for a living, I have to up my prices slightly on some things to avoid going into debt. I hope you will all understand.

On a happier note, here are a couple of photos taken during 2 shoots in the last few weeks of my friend and model, Tara Lee, taken by Grant Douglas Photography.

Help with Boston Fashion Week, please?

Hello everyone!

I have a huge favour I need to ask of all of my wonderful fans:

I have signed my contract for Boston Fashion Week and it's going to cost me a small fortune to make it there. Can any of you help me out with even a small amount? You can check out this link for my profile and to help me raise funds for my first runway show. It's really important to me to get to Boston, and I'm not asking for money without giving you anything in return.

Along the side of the above linked page, I have listed some rewards for anyone who helps by donating certain amounts to my cause. Of course, I don't expect everyone to be able to afford to help, but even if you could pass the link along to your friends, it would help me out greatly, and I would really appreciate it.

I hate asking for money, but I think this is a good compromise: you give me money to help get me to Boston, and I give you something, be it a signed photo print from my new collection, latex, or otherwise.

Thanks so much in advance, guys, I really do appreciate it!
